Andy Carroll beat 200 entrants to become a model for H&M
Andy Carroll has taken part in an advertising campaign for clothing company H&M.

He's not the first name that springs to mind when modelling is concerned but it would appear that West Ham striker Andy Carroll has landed the gig as the face (and ponytail) of H&M's new Alexander Wang fashion campaign.

Seemingly stuck for ways to fill his time as he continues to recover from yet another injury set-back, Carroll reportedly saw off 200 other candidates to land the Wang campaign -- his first assignment since signing for London-based agency Select Models (who also boast Aaron Ramsey among their clientèle).
Ah, the old "dressed in dark" approach to fashion. Tried and true.

We can't begin to imagine what state the other 200 candidates must have been in, but kudos to Andy regardless.
